And there are some very good ones still out there to be written, even in this awful economy. But for essay topics that really matter, you need to find topics that relate to your own academic life and achievements. And so they are the key to your long-term success in your GMAT prep.So how do you go about finding topics that will allow you to draw on your strengths and highlight your weaknesses, which will help you to put across a solid argument on the subjects you have chosen? I would suggest that you first consider what academic events have happened within your life. For example, what is your favorite or most influential academic event that you attended in high school, and how did you feel about it afterwards?What major historical events did you participate in? How did you feel about it afterwards? In most cases, you'll be able to put together a short stor y about those events that will enable you to have a great academic argument in your essay.Another good place to look for things to say about your life is in how you yourself made these events that shaped you to the events that would shape you to make your choices today. The essay topic you choose can be made by reflecting on who you are, what you want, and what you want to achieve. Take some time to reflect upon the events that shaped you and to write a description of how those events made you who you are today.What's your favorite book? Did you enjoy that book when you were young? If you didn't, how did you feel about it after reading it? What did you think about the people who made it, and how did you feel about that book?I love The Catcher in the Rye, but it's not my favorite book I've ever read. My friend is a huge fan of it, and he says that he read it often and was always reminded of a recent situation or event that had happened to him that day. He also knows the book well, be cause he has read it and liked it throughout his life.Looking back on a person's life is a great way to understand what influences him today. Is his or her educational experience influenced by the school that they attended, or maybe the way they were treated by teachers? It's important to look at where you fit into your life now, and write a short paragraph about your life that illustrates your place in the bigger picture.The best way to find essay topics that fit your needs and interests is to take some time to explore the past and present. Doing this will help you create a truly memorable essay, one that will stand out from the crowd and stand as an example of your ability to learn.
